Did you use Internet Explorer ?
Other browsers sometimes show strange behaviors with the router's management interface.
-
hi lizzi, i used firefox as I always have on this PC, the same PC that I have always used to update my router.
-
update, just tried using IE, still no joy!!
-
On another topic someone suggested doing a hard reset...pushing the inset button on the back of the router and holding it for four cycles...letting it finish rebooting, then do the firmware load. That was what finally worked for me.
If you save out your system settings before doing this, you can also reload those.
You'll see the indicator of a successful reload on the top where it reads 1.34, but all in all, nothing else will look different.
Also, the Daylight Savings Time (DST) time server ping still is off by an hour and the Dynamic DNS update still doesn't work.
-
Are you saying its not worth updating? My router is up in the loft so I was hoping not to have to go up there to reset it
-
CORRECTION:
DST does indeed seem to be working. I also changed my NTP to time.apple.com, altered the DST settings for 2010 (DST begins 2nd Sunday in March and ends 1st Sunday in November.
If the Secure Spot issue is corrected despite no evidence of it being removed, it might indeed be worth updating.
I just wish the dynamic DNS feature worked properly with dnsomatic.com and OpenDNS.
-
well DST is working fine for me on 1.33 and I dont use securespot lol so unless there are any more fixes I wont bother with an update and will wait for a firmware that fixes the slowdown with bittorrent connections, thats the only issue I have with this router lol, from what I read on the forums I am one of the lucky few!!!

Reset the router with the reset button on the back of the router.
Let router fully initialize then flash firmware.
My router shows 1.34NA after flashing.
As for your torreent issues I have no idea as torrents run fine for me.
-
I also had to perform a factory reset (depress the reset button on the back of the router) to successfully flash with this new load.

Hi,
I had to use the hard reset method to get this beta to install also. But the settings file reloaded properly so that was easy enuff.
Quick speed tests look normal. Guess I need to try to turn off DST and see if it pukes on me.
EDIT: Tried changing the DST check box off - Save - on - Save it worked fine....Time reset properly each time and it didn't fall into a reboot loop.... seems to be a good sign.
-
I observed the same issue, after: saving my configuration -> factory reset -> flashing new firmware -> reboot -> load config file -> reboot, i am back online and firmware is properly running with my configuration
thanks for the help guys

Same here.
