Title: Manual for login to web doesn't match web site
Post by: broderp on April 17, 2010, 07:37:39 AM
I have the DIR-665.  I'm very happy with it, except that I rarely access the web site to make changes.  I've down loaded the manual, and the instructions to log in don't match what I see on the screen.

I'm going to 192.68.0.1, and it just asks for a password and I can only selelct from admin or user.  The manual on the other hand is asking for password, then the characters above.

I've only used one of a handful of passwords, but none are working.

I always have to go thru this, frustrating.

Can anyone help?

If you can't login with admin and "password" then it seems you have to do a hard reset
and put your settings again. maby you have been hijacked with a new password.

Try it with no password, just blank out the field when logging in.

I think mine defaulted to "Admin" with no password.

Agreed.  After a factory reset by depressing the reset on the rear of the unit, the admin password is blank (for 1.3X) versions...
