Title: New Here 615 issue?
Post by: OldsGuy on April 18, 2010, 07:59:54 PM
Hi!  Not very intelligent on this network stuff so excuse my ignorance.  I got a 615 from a friend because I indicated I would like to get a network running at home.

I ran the wizard on the disk setting up passwords, security keys, etc.  My wired computer works fine connecting, and my Wii attached wirelessly without issue also.

Where I am concerned is that when I went to connect the Wii, my network showed as unlocked, which is contrary to what I believe I set up in the wizard.

When I try to go to the manual configuration through a browser, I can get to the main "internet connection" screen, but none of the buttons work.  I get a screen saying that "the gateway is measuring my network connection" which stays up for a few minutes then goes back to the same main screen.

I think I need to get into there to check the settings which would make my network show as locked, correct?  Any ideas why I cant get past this screen? I am using Win XP and a D-link DSL modem (SBC DSL Service).

Thanks!
