After ditching the di-624 due to reasons of frustration and eventual insanity, I now have a DIR-825 Rev router.
Previously the Playstation 3 was able to easily connect with my laptop that was running PS3 Media Server but now it can't be detected.
I suspect that some sort of setting on the DIR-825 is to blame but I don't know what to look for.
Any suggestions?

Nevermind fixed it!
Just had to disable Multicast Streaming.
-
on the router or the ps3?
-
The router. There's no setting like that on the PS3.
-
having the same issue how did you fix it???

but it used to work before without any modification of the router...
i had problems with my dir-825, my internet provider change it
and since ps3 media server can't see anymore my ps3...
but my pc is correclty connected on the internet, same for the pc or my x360
and my x360 can't see nether ps3 media server when it used to be
so i really suspect on option to check on router...but i don t know which one
everything seems fine

Is Multicast Streaming enabled or disabled under Advanced/Adv Networking?
-
yes it is

I might get you a external Gb network switch. It's what I use. Helps eliminate any router processing.
-
maybe
but it used to work before with same model of router
that's why it's weird

Seems like something either with the ISP service, modem or configuration of the network or router would be my first guess. Let us know if you install a network switch and see better results.
