Title: Modern Warfare 2 Strict NAT
Post by: Centaur on April 23, 2010, 01:43:21 PM
Hi there,

I launched modern warfare 2 from steam on my PC this evening and it said that I have a strict NAT. Just wondering if you could tell me how to fix this problem. I am running windows 7 and using a D-Link DIR-655 Wireless Router.

Thanks,
Centaur

Just a guess, do you have UPnP enabled or disabled?  I think I've seen that error message before.

First setup a static IP address in DHCP Reservations List for your PC in your router you'll find this under setup under network settings. Next, click on the advanced tab and click on the port forwarding tab. Once that is done, click on the down arrow next to application name and click on call of duty. Then click on the two pointers to the left of the application name to open the ports. And under computer name click on the down arrow and chose your computer then click on the left pointers next to your computer name and save your settings. Hope this helps it worked for me.
