Title: Active TV on DSM-510
Post by: vijeeshp on February 21, 2008, 10:31:27 AM
Hi,

Is there any way to play online contents ( like ActiveTV or YouTube ) in DSM-510.

This device does not support ActiveTV as the DSM-520 does. It does however have access to Intel Viiv zone if you have a Viiv compatible PC. Using other media server software on your PC may give you access to other services and content on line but this is not a feature I can offer support on. Maybe some other forum posters can provide some insight.

Macfoo - i tried using tversity but i was unable to get the 510 to recongnise it.  Did you have to do any special configurations?

Nothing special it seemed to pop up in the available media server list about 10 minutes after installing. If you have any anti-virus software on your PC that my need to be configured.

C4MP3R , I had the same results as Macfoo, works great.  I am using it on winserver 2003 on my small business server (SBS).  I did find a reference to a specific DSM-510 profile on the TVersity forum so I chose to use that.

I am having the same timeout issues on both wired and wireless. It doesn't appear that there has been any resolution on this. I've tried with Twonky, TVersity and DLink Media Server. Any configuration settings I need to look at?
