Title: wireless connection via internet connection on xp sp2 desktop
Post by: mrbill on February 21, 2008, 11:02:39 AM
Good Day,
I have a small home wireless network.  One vista laptop and another xp desktop.  Both are working fine and I can share my files, etc  The problem is my connection to the internet is with a Modem on my xp desktop.
I would like to use my vista laptop to run the AOL on the xp desktop so it can dial out on the modem to connect to the internet. Share the internet from my portal vista laptop.
Is this possible?  Can anyone provide some information.
thank you in advance.

Thats called ICS. It's fairly simple to setup, however the connection speeds will be very slow.

See if this helps you.
