Before I installed the DIR-825, I had a DGL-4500 with 802.11n only enabled and a DAP-1555 with 802.11b/g enabled. I was able to wirelessly sync my Zune HD with this previous setup.
Now, I have my DIR-825 broadcasting the same SSID for both radios. My laptop is configured to connect to the 5Ghz radio, as it has a Centrino 2 chipset supporting 802.11n. My Zune HD only support 802.11b/g, and can connect to the 2.4Ghz radio just fine (I can browse the marketplace and access the Internet from it's browser.) It appears as if the broadcast traffic my Zune HD generates to connect to the Zune Software running on my laptop, is never forwarded to my laptop. Thus my Zune HD does not connect to my laptop with this setup.
Even If I connect my laptop to the 2.4Ghz SSID, my Zune HD cannot sync with my laptop.
No, I do not have Wireless Partitioning or the Guest Zone features enabled.

I'm not sure, but I believe the DIR-825 maybe interfering with the UPNP broadcast the Zune HD is sending to find the sync host (my laptop running the Zune software.)

Can you use the same ssid on both wireless networks?
-
Yep. I haven't been able to figure out how to fix this.
-
Dude, I would change the SSID so they are different....otherwize how can you know which network you are attached too? BTW the Zune only supports the 2.4Hz network.
-
Unfortunately, that's not going to work. Zune Wireless Sync requires both the Zune and the system running the Zune Software to be connected to the same SSID. Regardless, even if I disable the 5Ghz radio, I still cannot get my Zune to sync with my laptop.
-
why not have your Laptop connect to the 2.4 Ghz radio and then see if your Zune will connect to it. I'm thinking that might be a problem to have the Zune on 2.4 Ghz and the Laptop on 5 Ghz, even if they do both have the same SSID.
-
I guess I was not clear enough. I already had either disabled the 5Ghz radio, or changed the SSID name for the 5Ghz radio, and I still cannot sync wirelessly.

Remove all wep/wpa security and try on the 2.4Hz channel while the 5hz channel is disabled.
