Title: FTP Not Logging Logins
Post by: MrWillz on May 03, 2010, 11:20:03 AM
II am running firmware 1.03 in a RAID1 configuration.  I setup an FTP server and created to accounts one for uploading and one for downloading.  I was reviewing my logs and noticed that my logs are not logging login attempts.  I have rebooted the server several times with no luck.  I was able to telnet into the machine using fun_plug and it looks like my lastlog file may be corrupted.

Any suggestions.

We do not currently log login's/outs. Only files transfered and the account that transfered them.

Ok I see now.  Maybe that can be a feature that could be added in a future update.  I also noticed that it will log if someone downloads a file but not if someone uploads a file.

That's odd, I am running the same firmware and my FTP logs show both "get" and "put".

Get and put are downloads and uploads, not logins and log outs.

Yep, I realize that. I thought that's what MrWillz was referring to when he said that "it will log if someone downloads a file but not if someone uploads a file". I show downloads and uploads to my 321.
