Post by: p5tom on February 23, 2008, 03:27:22 PM
Hi All, has anyone had any success disabling there internal 4695AGN (i have a  HP - DV9500T - Vista - Laptop) to the DWA- 643?
This is to hopefully get my speed up to 270 ( Router - DIR-655).
Any thoughts or experience would be highly appreciated,

Just disable the internal card in your BIOS, install the D-Link in the ExpressCard slot, reboot, and install the drivers.

Just disable the internal card in your BIOS, install the D-Link in the ExpressCard slot, reboot, and install the drivers.

There are 2 places in Windows to disable the network card:

Device Manager  (right click on the 4695AGN icon and select disable)
Network Connections (right click on the 4695AGN icon and select disable)
