Using a DIR-655 A4 1.33NA firmware getting the following statistic results:
up time 1 day 59mins
TX packets dropped: 1800
RX packets dropped: 1437
Errors: 262
Any ideas folks?? It appears that there is something on the wireless side that is totally lacking stability.

I would suspect interference from another device or router, or your signal is weak on the PC. Have you used a scanning program such as Inssider as suggested elsewhere on the forum to scan your channels?

When I started having issues with this I downloaded InSSider. I did move my router from channel 11 to channel 6 due to the fact there were several other AP units on channel 11. I was getting these error prior to downloading the InSSider program. Hence the reason I changed the wireless channel. My signal from the laptop is either "excellent" or "very good". Any other ideas??

Did it just start acting up one day or is this problem on a new installation?
Under your "Wireless Network Settings" configuration, I would use "802.11n and 802.11g" unless you have an old .11b device, which is unlikely.
Set your channel width to 20MHz for now; if you have competing WiFi in the area it's unlikely you're going to get a clean 2nd channel anyway.
Under "Advanced Wireless", also uncheck "Extra Wireless Protection" as that applies to .11b devices which aren't real popular anymore.
How does channel #1 look? If you have crowded airspace, you might get better results with the in-between channels such as 3-4 or 8-9. Do you have more than one WiFi device? It could be a bad router too, not ruling anything out yet.

Trying channel 9 for one night. What I have found is my d/l speed when using the wired NIC is close to 20mbps... sad to say when connected wireless I only get around 5 -6 mbps... My router is brand new maybe 3 weeks old.. I had an A2 that died on me about 3 weeks ago.. now have the same router but the A4 hardware rev with 1.33NA. Guess we'll see what happens in the next few days..

So the old one worked about like wired but the new one is slow with lots of errors? I guess you'll have to see what happens on ch 9 as you're doing already...
