Title: Not able to save DCHP reservation
Post by: PaulKemp on May 05, 2010, 05:34:22 AM
Dear internet,

I've done this before, but now all of a sudden i'm not able to save the DHCP RESERVATIONS for my main computer. I currently have two devices saved in the list already, but when i add a new one and reboot, the device does not show up. This is in the Setup -> Network Settings menu item.

Another problem is that the 655 doesnt let me save port forwarding. The same as described above, i choose the ip and application. Click save -> reboot. And when I enter port forwarding again, it's not saved!

I have rebooted the device (pain in the ass to setup again with a cabled network btw) and i have the newest EU firmware. 1.21. I see that there are a 1.23NA North American firmware, but i'm not sure what to do. Any thoughts anyone? Regards.

edit: turns out "newest" isn't the one the router tells me.

In regards to the DHCP RESERVATIONS.  This may or may not help out but I ran into this same problem before and this is what I had to do to fix it.  I found this pretty odd, but, my 655 at one time developed the habit of assigning IP addresses that weren't within the DHCP IP address range, odd right.  Although I had internet connection on one or two of my machines, they wouldn't list out in the router page as being a client with an address.  All I had to do is change the IP ADDRESS range to fit the IP ADDRESS that the router assigned for those specific clients.  These systems also couldn't be saved in the reservations list, but after making the adjustment, it worked.  Hope this helps.
