My DSM-520 can't connect to Active-TV server. After DSM-520 requesting for authorization, it comes back with a message "unable to connect to Active-TV PC". Can anyone help ?
Thanks in advance

Please make sure you have the latest version 2.54.2926. If you have anti-virus software please make sure the ActiveTV programs is properly allowed in the software and firewall.
More than likely either your Windows firewall or 3rd party antivirus/firewall software is blocking the Active TV software from receiving the authorization prompt.
The native Windows Firewall is automatically configured during Active TV installation to allow devices to detect and connect to the Active TV server on the PC. However, if other third-party firewall software is installed on the server (e.g. Norton, McAfee, Zone Alarm, etc.), the following applications need to be granted access by the user:
• C:\Program Files\MediaMall\ehshell.exe
• C:\Program Files\MediaMall\MediaMallServer.exe
• C:\Windows\system32\wcsdmxp.exe (XP only)
• C:\Windows\system32\WCSMMVS.exe (Vista only)
Port 3389 (on XP) or port 36157 (on Vista) also needs to be opened to allow the device to connect. Additionally, the services "UPnP Framework" (on XP) and "Windows Media Player Network Sharing. Service" (on Vista) must be allowed firewall access.

anti-virus/firewall software has been removed for this purpose.

What OS are you using with Active TV?
Are you using windows XP Home?
-
I am using Windows XP Professional
-
Did you grant access to the PC when the authorization bubble popped up on the PC?
-
It passed that point.

Are you connected wirelessly. If so have you tried it wired as well?
