I am using WMP 11 to share downloaded Napster files to the DSM 520. When I go to set up Sharing, the DSM-520 does not show up as a media sharing device that I can choose - I only have a generic "my media player" to select. This works, and the music plays. Two issues that I can't fix though...my album art doesn't display at all, and the songs are all listed and playing in alphabetical order. Is this because I'm using the generic "My Media Player" instead of having the DSM-520 to choose? And if so, can anyone tell me how to get WMP 11 to recognize the dsm unit?
Thanks much!!

This is normal operation. If you right click on the "My media player" icon it should display all the proper device information. This is Windows XP correct?
As for the Album art we will be releasing firmware to better implement the album art feature with the DSM-520. WMP11 seems to work best as the media server right now. Please view this FAQ for adding album art to your audio files.

What about the order of songs - it plays them all in alphabetical order instead of in the order that is designated on the CD. Is there any way to fix that? I would rather hear my music in the intended sequence - I still tend to listen to things by the CD, not by the individual song.
Thanks!

I am very sorry but I do not believe there is an option for this feature.

:( I find the song order problem to be frustrating as well, particularly on live albums. This should be an easy fix, I would think. WMP 11 knows the song orders (it plays them correctly on the PC), so the DSM-520 should be able play them in order as well. Please ask product management to consider adding album song order support for WMP servers. Thank you.

That is something Microsoft will have to implement into WMP11.
