Title: DIR 825 DP 1522 setup help plz

HI,

I am trying to setup a DIR 825 and DAP1522 to use two bands (2.4 and 5 Ghz). My plan is to setup DAP 1522 in bridge mode (to connect xbox 360, dvd player etc) for streaming videos using 5GZ while the 2.4gz is reserved for our PCs (servers and laptops) used for browsing, mails, corporate vpn etc. Can someone help me with the following questions:

DIR 825:
1. What is recommended for the SSID. I thought setting it to two separate SSIDs, one for each freqhency band would be appropriate, but not sure.

DAP1522:
1. In my setup it does not allow me to choose the 2.4 or 5 GHz band. It automatically selects (greyed out) the 2.4/5 option. Is this normal?.

That is exactly my setup:

On the DIR 825 make sure you have each wireless band set to a differenet SSID.  For instance I have:

2.4 GHz band - SSID = netnameData
5 GHz band - SSID = netnameMedia

If you have the DAP 1522 set to use netnameMedia, it will connect to the 5GHz band.  Be sure to read the post on how to get 300 Mbs connection speed on the 5 GHz band!

Need two SSID's one for each band.  If you are experiencing low signal with the 5Hz band you may need to purchase something to increase the singnal.  I had low signal downstairs on the N band and used the DIR-628 connected to the 1522 and  this worked great.
