Is there any way to stream music to my stereo receiver?

I have a mac book and yamaha rx v633 receiver. I know that there is mac airport express. I was wondering if there is a way to do it with the DIR 655? Could it relay the music to the receiver?

thanks

One thing to do is run a wire from your MacBook Speaker Out line to the Receiver line in port.  Probably you'd have to get one of those converter wires that goes form 1/8 inch stereo to Red/White RCA (Male) Plugs.

I would think somebody must make an adapter that takes output from a 1/8 inch stereo plug/port into a little FM transmitter...I have one of those for my car, they must make them for the home.....  such as this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/DLO-TransCast-FM-Universal-Transmitter-MP3-FM-Radio-/200423090281?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item2eaa25a869 (http://cgi.ebay.com/DLO-TransCast-FM-Universal-Transmitter-MP3-FM-Radio-/200423090281?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item2eaa25a869)
Never used that specific one, but it could meet your needs...or one like it....  You could get one of the car units and then get a small home based adapter/converter that goes from Home power to car cigarette lighter port (12VDC)....  Some what of a kludge, but it should work....http://

Or go have a look at a Squeezebox or other media streaming device.  You will get much cleaner sound than from your sound card.
