Title: Time Settings
Post by: stephorama on May 11, 2010, 05:49:36 PM
The router does not maintain time!!  Within a day or two it loses at least 24 hours.  What the heck?
DYING for a new router but waiting for our move.  This router, especially with upupgraded firmware is junk.

Yea the log on mine adjusts the time constantly, but I have it pointing to a NTP server which keeps it close to the correct time.

When I connected to the server the whole thing just freaked out.  Moving soon and our new service provider will give us a new router...so just toughing it out with this hunk of junk until then. >:(

I didn't notice it until now, but you guys are right about the time thing.  My router was off by about 2 days.  My questions to you guys.  Why does it matter?  I'm not being rude.  Because it only matters, because the time is linked to your log file.  When ever anything is logged, it's time stamped.  Who in their right mind reads their log file, especially in a consumer grade router?  That's just my two cents:)
