Hello,

I am trying to connect my router to DSL-2640T can someone help me with the instructions?my connection is PPoE anyway

The 855 is a router, so just plug-in the 855 to your 2640 modem LAN connection and it works.
When you don't need the 802.11G from the 2640 anymore, uncheck the wireless and only use the 855 (it is better using 1 wireless system only).
