Hey I posted about 6 months ago without a working solution to this problem, but the range on my router has gone to about 10 feet and can barely even make it through one wall now.
It happened out of the blue one day and I can not figure out what is causing it to screw up. I'm not 100% sure if its a hardware issue, but is there any settings in the router it self that would cause the range to be greatly effected?
As of now It's been on a WPA2 with g/n mixed without any real problems until suddenly.
If you would like me to post any logs or settings please let me know.
Thanks :)

That's what its currently set at, I don't think it will help much though.

By default I think Short GI is also checked.

Yep, and use WPA2-only, as the auto WPA/WPA2 mostly is going to 'do' WPA ...
You could also, even though it sounds counter-intuitively, lower the Transmit Power one notch...

yeah no real improvement :/

If nothing obvious has changed, and you can't identify any close-by neighbor's wifi (same default SSID...) interference, or some other phone or something, then maybe your router's wireless (chipset) has simply flaked out.
Does your wired speed seem normal ?
Have you tried doing a hard reset ? Make sure and asve your settings first..unless you dont mind adding them back in....

yeah its crap :/ im just gona buy a new model at costco with their own "unofficial warranty" since dlinks just goes to crap as soon as it expires.
Unless some1 can recommend a diff brand or model that is better
