Ok, I have a D-link router DIR-655 and I'm having a problem. I have an Xbox 360 I use a wireless adapter. I can connection to xbox perfectly fine. Once I get on a game to play with a friend or two I can connect to one friend but when the other friend joins the match I automaticaly get dissconnected. I figured it was my firewall and I don't know what to do to turn my firewall off. Can someone please help.

First thing: Do not turn your firewall in the router off...
Two: Are the friends playing locally, or from somewhere else (i.e. over the internet)?
Three: What firmware version are you running?

I understand that turning of my firewall is a bad idea, and no of my friends connect locally. Most use ethernet(witch is more secure than wireless) and my fireware version is 1.11

Hi max3000333,
At least upgrade to Firmware 1.21 with Secure Spot or without. That's what I am running and it is very stable firmware version. Only time it stops, it I manually reboot it, or a power outage. I have the D-Link DIR-655 A3 Model.
I just read that Xbox requires the latest version.

I don't own an Xbox.
What Routers are your Friends using?
Who is hosting the game?

I really really really really really don't care about the risks, and I don't know what my friends are using for routing. I just need to have no fire wall so I can play Red Dead Redemption and games that are strick on These sort of things.

Tried port forwarding?
XBox360 RDR port forward (http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DIR-655/XBOX360_Red_Dead_Redemption.htm)

Check out the Gameing and Gamefuel sticky in the DGL-4500 forum. I works great and even though the UI is different between products, the information contained in the sticky will work on my router practically.
