Here's what I get on my Mac only, PC's work just fine, when I try to copy a file or whatever to my DNS-321 with Firmware 1.03; running Snow Leopard on my Mac!
"The operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access some of the items."
There are lot's of messages on the internet and some even offer fixes but none have worked for me. Also a similar product to D-Links DNS-321 called Synology DS-209 is also having the same issue.
As best as I can tell it looks like it maybe a OS-X issue since it started to happen when Snow Leopard was released. Can any body here confirm this?
Are we waiting for a "patch" from D-Link and or who ever?

Seems to be a lot of permissions errors with Snow Leopard, you're not the only one. I happen to have both the DNS-321 and the Synology DS209, no issues at all with any version of Windows, or Ubuntu Linux.

same problem here.
it's the "extended attribute" issue on 10.6.3 snow leopard.
I tried to hack DNS-321 using fun_plug hack to access smb.conf to fix this issue, but couldn't get fun_plug to work.
no solution so far...

Well, fun_plug should just work after copying the two files to the root and restarting the NAS, not sure what you're doing different there!
