Does anyone have experience using this unit in a MAC/OSX environment? I have have read several mixed responses from users. Mostly I am curious about the backup support for OSX. The sales literature states that D-Links backup software supports MACs, but I have not read about anyone using it. I have a couple of older OSX systems (10.4) that don't have TimeMachine, so I would need to use a backup program. I am also interested in anyones experience with using the device for file storage in a MAC environment.
TIA,
Jon

File storage is fine from my experience - i have had no issues with it holding my quite large media library - however Time Machine is not supported without a bit of work and even then its a hackish way around. If you weren't planning to use Time Machine anyway, like you state, then i can't see there being a hassle, as i have never had an issue with OS X keeping network connectivity with my units.

No problems here. I have been using DNS-323 over the last 3 years. First under Leopard and then Snow Leopard.
Having said that Samba protocol proved to be slow and unreliable at times. Using an add-on software (known as FFP) I have installed Apple file transfer protocol (AFP) and it is faster and more stable now. You can find more info about FFP and other tech discussion here (not part of D-Link):

Hope this helps
