Ack! I am losing my mind trying to troubleshoot this problem
I have a DIR-655 router, a cable modem, and a Vonage VOIP router. All have been up and running fine for over a year.
Yesterday, my internet connection dropped. I rebooted all routers and the modem and rebooted my computer, but nothing worked.
I called the cable company and they said it's not the cable modem, and I was able to successfully bypass the router and hardwire into my laptop and get a connection.
The lights on my router are showing as follows: power = on, a circular light with a little triangle in it = slow blink, a light that looks like 3 little circles in a triangle shape = fast blinking, wireless icon = solid on, network port #3 - solid on.
In the process of rebooting everything, I hit the reset button on my router. I think I might now have to go into an admin page or something and reset a password.
Can somebody give me troubleshooting tips? How do I access admin page if necessary? What type of security settings and other things do I need to change in the admin page (if necessary)?
Thanks in advance! (I am losing my mind here!!!!)

Hi flexi,
http://192.168.0.1 (http://192.168.0.1) is the address of the Router's setting page. If you properly did a Factory Reset of the Router, to login type admin for UserName and leave password blank.
I would enter the information, get on the Internet and then reconnect the VOIP Router.

Hi flexi,
You have it correct.
From the Power Outlet unplug the Cable Modem and D-Link Router.
Disconnect all Ethernet Cables.
Plug an Ethernet Cable from the Cable Modem to the Wan Port on the D-Link Router.
Plug an Ethernet Cable from the Computer to the Lan Port on the D-Link Router.
Make sure to check the Ends of the Ethernet Cable. If no longer spring-loaded, replace the cable.
Reconnect the Power Cables. Check the Connection again. Note: Computer does not need to be rebooted, if you are using Windows to Connect to the Router.
Once you are connected, you can reset your settings in the Router.
