Title: setup for media server

im trying to get my media server working im using nero media home and my router is dir-825 running the new formware, im unable to see my media server on my ps3. anyone know how to set the router up?

I had the same problem. Appearantly there is a problem with the Multicasting of the router when you connect your PS3 wireless. Try first having switching on / off multicast streaming (in advanced network settings) if it does not help, connect once directly wired to your router. If you want to use wirelessly, I'm willing to send you my screenshots in which I got it worked so that you can try the same at your side.

if u dont mind the screen shoot would be every help full. what media server software are u using maybe i should try that one as well.

As NAS i use a ReadyNAS NV+ from Netgear. It has some preloaded media server software inside that just needs to be enabled if you want to use it. I'll take the screenshots tonight or tomorrow (as I'm now starting to work) and I can not reach my router from my workplace.
