When bypassing the router I get 8.98 for upload speed, when using the wired port of my router it is 4.52. Download speed is only slightly slower. Still using firmware 1.21 as I cannot figure out how to download the latest firmware. The difference is definately noticable. Any suggestions? Dell XPS computer if that helps.
Thanks in advance,
Jimmy

Same problem here, I'm lucky if it's half. I have a case open with tech support but I doubt it's hardware cause too many people seem to be having this issue. It seems to have gotten really bad with this current firmware release.
Hopefully it will be addressed soon.

I am intrigued by the "in half" statements.
As a guess, I would say to check the speed negotiation status of your NIC on your workstations. Sounds like AUTO isn't connecting in DUPLEX as it should. Take away the "negotiation" and set your NIC's to highest speed, DUPLEX manually. Also, don't use the AUTO speed settings in your router unless you have many workstations with different, usually legacy, hardware.
It is common for "auto" settings to not negotiate properly with various brands of hardware. When this happens manual settings are your best friend.
