Hi,
I have a HTC Kaiser (sometimes called HTC Innovation, HTC TyTN II or HTC P4550) and I am experiencing problems connecting it to my DLink DIR-615 router
Both of my laptops can connect to it wirelessly without any problems, so there is no issue with them connecting, however, when on the HTC cell phone I cannot connect. I attempt to view the network under the Configure Wireless Networks options, it is not visible. There are other networks in the local area that are detected, but not mine.
I have done a hard reset on the phone, so it is back to its factory state. When I turned the phone on after the factory reset, it picked up the WPA secure wireless network from the house next door, called "sisters", but it would still not pick up the wireless connection provided by the DIR-615 router.
The Router Information is as follows =
Hardware version - C1
Firmware version - 3.01 (the latest version according to the admin section)
At present, the network name is "techwizard" and the security is set to WEP. I have tried it set to Open and WPA, but there is no difference - the network is not detected.
Can someone give me indicators as to why I can see the network on my laptops, but not my phone.
Regards
GW

I am having the same problem. The network seems fine and both computers connect well and go to the internet, but my mobile phone (Nokia E61) seems to just not see it. I just got the new router and the phone used to see the old one. I made sure the DIR-615 is set to not have any MAC filtering, to allow all three wireless 802.11 modes, run on basic WEP, and still I can't see anything on the phone. I also updated the phone but it was already running the latest firmware.
Is this some sort of a DIR-615 common failure?
Appreciate any help.

Hi there,
I have a Google G1 phone (HTC Dream) and this wouldn't see the network until I turned the wireless 'n' off
The phone is rooted and once I installed Android 2.1 (CyanogenMod) to the phone it now see's and connects fine.
Try setting wireless to b/g only, reboot router and see if it connects. (In Advanced Wireless Section)
I believe this to be a phone problem not a router one.
Best.

Firmware version - 3.01 (the latest version according to the admin section)
The admin section is wrong. Always check on the homepage. The newest firmware does solve some "wireless connection issues".
