Title: Shareport mac & dir-825: complete failure both for hd and multifunction
Post by: jacopo on July 06, 2010, 11:40:20 AM
Hi guys, I'm absolutely concerned about the lack of info D-Link offers about Shareport on Mac.
In the Italian site you cannot even find a version of Shareport for Mac and in the US, you can download only the 1.01r version..
Now, let's go to the point.
With Mac Os 10.6.4 on a Macbook pro I can run Shareport 1.01r but everything crashes when I try to use a harddrive connected to the router, viz. a MacOs Extended formatted LaCie d2 Quadra 1TB of capacity. Still I can see it in the Shareport window. If I try to use the scanner of a multifunction Epson DX8450, it just freezes, with the rounding wheel.
Fortunately at least I can print through it...
But there is an other problem: I also use an iMac G5 with Mac OS X 10.5.8. No way to make it work with Shareport v. 1.01r..
WHAT CAN I DO!?!?!?!?!?
The version n.3 does not work on both machines: it does not even see any device connected to the router.

Please, HELP ME!!!
