I know I SHOULD back everything up, but I just don't have enough space.
I've update the firmware to 1.09
I want to be able to just add the new hard drive and have it mirror the first and NOT lose any data on the first.
I turned it off, added the second drive and then went into the web configuration.
This is what it said,
Your new second hard drive will now be formatted. The existing hard drive will not lose any data.
HARD DRIVE CONFIGURATION:
Check box for Reconfigure to RAID 1
I checked and hit next
THEN I get
This section allows you to setup a RAID configuration on the selected hard drives. Please note that the data stored on the drives will be erased during the formatting process.
Enable Auto-Rebuild
Disable Auto-Rebuild
Which one do I do so I don't lose my data on the first??
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Back up your data!
One only has to read some of the posts here to see how often the wrong drive gets formatted in these kinds of scenarios!

Doesn't matter which one you choose - it does not affect the addition of a second drive in any way.
Selecting automatic rebuild is supposed to allow the RAID1 array to rebuild automatically upon the replacement of a failed drive - but as far as I know, from my testing, the RAID rebuild process works exactly the same way regardless of whether you enable auto rebuild or not.
