I was running firmware 1.05 with twin 1T drives in RAID1 mode.
I noticed one day that my drive status was "degraded". Both drive LEDs were blue.
Since there was no resync controls in 1.05 I upgraded to 1.09. (yes, I backed up everything to another drive first).
I clicked manual resync, and let it run over night. In the morning, the browser was back on the admin login screen. No indication of what the result of the resync was.
I checked the STATUS and it still shows "degraded". I went to TOOLS/DISK_TOOLS and pressed SCANDISK. That was a few hours ago.
How long does Scandisk take?
Will it record the results someplace? I installed funplug so I can telnet in and get at any file.
I also just noticed that both drive LEDS are still blue!
If one of the drives is toast, it would be nice to know which one!
Thanks in advance, any input greatly appreciated!

Take the drives out (note their positions in the DNS-323 first), and test them individually connected to a PC with the disk manufacturer's tools.

Heh, even simpler. I rebooted and the STATUS screen shows no info for the LEFT drive.
So I shut down and pulled it out.
Running Seatools for DOS on it now.... 1 error found so far.
I also just noticed both drives have the 1.5 MBit data limit jumper installed! I missed that...

The 1.5gbit jumper will have no effect on this box, it's much slower than that anyway!
