I have a DIR-615 rev D on Firmware 1.00VG. I've got it set up and working and a port scan from Shields Up shows the firewall is enabled and I'm protected but I'm trying to create a firewall rule to permit a port inbound and not having much success.
I've enabled the SPI and set up a rule as follows:
Name: Test
Action: Allow
Protocol: TCP
Port Range: 3333
Interface: WAN
WAN IP address: 1.1.1.1 - 235.255.255.254 (The GUI won't accept 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255)
Interface: LAN
LAN IP address: 192.168.0.105 - 192.168.0.105
I tried the same IP ranges with the interfaces set to Source and Destinations but its still didn't work.
Bizarrely I've just returned from a five day Checkpoint R70 Firewall course and I'll be damned if I can get this mickey mouse thing working!!!!
If anyone could spare the time to assist I'd be very grateful.

On the Wan IP address use a star ( * ) for each box
Have you tried adding an entry in advanced/port forwarding then look at the firewall rules and you can see how its setup
These settings open ports 24000/24001 for me (auto created in Advanced/Port Forwarding)

These settings block ip 100-150 from connecting to 500-65535
I also added the words announce, tracker, vuze to parental controls and this stops all torrent
activity to anyone in the 100-150 range (my selfish nonpaying flatmates)
I set myself up with a static ip of 192.168.0.200 so I'm not restricted by the rules
