Hi@all,
After reading a lot of reviews I´m considering buying the DNS-323 because there is a great support for this box. But I´m not sure if the box can stream 1080i mkv. I read that a lot of people already streamed 720 using twonky but I´m not sure if the box can handle 1080 because the network speed is not the best.
Has someone already streamed full hd?
Thanks for your answers and the great forum.

1080i or 1080p? Full resolution HD is 1080p.

Oh sorry, of course 1080p.

I do not know if it helps but I have absolutely no problems watching on my PS3 MTS files from Canon full HD camera recorded with maxumum AVCHD bitrate 23Mb/s. As a source I use uPnP server of DNS-323. Network 100Mb is more than enough for this. In fact I even manage to watch some of them via powerline adapter? which gives around 2-3 MBytes/s transfer in my setup. A little bit insufficient for 23Mb/s, but works for slow motion videos.

Yeah.
I have absolutely no problem streaming 1080i.
Heck, I can stream at LEAST 3 1080i feeds without any trouble.
1 to my Popcorn Hour, and 2 to PCs on my network.
Now, if you were thinking of doing this wirelessly, then you might have problems, but as long as you are wired, you should be fine.

Yup as long as you connect them with wire. You should be fine. I was getting laggy and out of sync playback when i stream 1080p to my ps3 using wireless. After that i decided to try it with direct connect through wire. And the play back is smooth.

Just to add that I have successfully streamed 1080p WMV from the DNS323 wired to a router and then WirelessN 300mbps to a wireless/Ethernet converter then wired to my media streamer. No lag or sync issues. This probably is to the credit of the media streamer's buffering capability and to the strength of signal on my WLAN.

Any ideas for how to stream/share MKV files to the XBOX 360 in the easiest way? I have a number of 720P and 1080P MKV files and I was hoping for an easy solution to make it work.
TIA

any answers to the last question posted? Also do sony blu ray players work the same as PS3 for streaming avchd files?

I have found that the xbox 360 does not recognise .mkv files, therefore does not display them in the file list. I have have a mixture of .avi and .mkv movie files with only the .avi format being displayed.
The best resolution is to buy a media streaming device e.g. sumvision cyclone adapter (£60ish) to stream this file format.
