Hi All,
I had Power Failure, today, during a copying / move of a file from the Computer to a folder on the DNS-323 Unit into a folder.
After power was restored, I tried moving into the same folder and it said the file exists.
I created a new folder on the same Hard Drive and moved all files in the original folder to a different different folder.
Then I tried to delete that old folder and it said the folder wasn't empty. When I opened the folder, the folder was empty.
How do I delete that empty folder, that isn't empty?
How would I run a Check Disk on the D-Link DNS-323 Unit's Hard Drive?

I understood you up until the point where you said you created a folder...
It sounds like it said the file already exists because you had a half complete file there. Try rebooting the NAS to delete your folder. If you are using v1.08 firmware you can run a "Scandisk" from the web interface.

Hi jamieburchell,
The size of the Seagate Disk is 1.5 GB. Scandisk is currently running.
What I had done, was to create a new Folder on the same folder level as the original folder. I highlighted all files in the original folder and moved all files to the new Folder.
That's when I when to delete the old folder and got the error that the "Empty" folder wasn't Empty and could not be deleted.
I am using Firmware Version 1.08.
Hopefully, I can delete the folder, once Scandisk is done or it finds the file and I can delete it.

After a reboot you should be able to remove it. You will need to reboot after the scan disk anyway. I have had files "locked" like this before and a reboot sorts it every time.

Hi jamieburchell,
It worked. It took over a hour to run Scandisk on a Seagate 1.5 TB Hard Drive, but it worked.
Thank you!
