Title: 802.11N Access Point equivalent of DWL-2100AP?
Post by: tm2000 on March 10, 2008, 02:29:34 AM
I have seen that D-Link has received certification for the DAP-1522.  Is this designed to be a draft N access point that will provide functionality similar to the DWL-2100AP in WDS mode?

They already have the DAP-1555, which is indeed a 802.11n bridge/access point, functionality the equivalent of the DWL-2100.

Does that mean that the dir655 will have WDS capability with a future firmware update - or does one need to purchase a different model?

I actually use WDS right now with 2 other Blanc wireless routers and have managed to (almost) seemlessly add the DIR655 to my network giving me the 300mb speed used in conjunction with the DWA643.

But it would ne nice to have the WDS feature built-in to the 655.
