It's very similar to the issue of this thread
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=3468.0
I guess it has not been fixed so far.
I upgraded my DNS323 firmware to ver1.09 a week ago, it worked well until yesterday(running 7x24),
below is the situation,
1. browser access failed
2. both easy search ver 4.4 and 4.7 can not locate DNS 323 any more
3. fileshare works well. with username/pwd, I can read/write share folders on my DNS323 by entering
\\192.168.x.xxx\sharefoldname in Windows Explorer (192.168.x.xxx is the IP address of my DNS323)
4. ping 192.168.x.xxx works well.
Any idea?
Thanks,

Did you try powering it off, then back on? Usually a reboot solves it. Of course only required if you need access to the UI to make a change. Otherwise, just let it run.

Very similar covers a lot of grey area - and a lot of things have been fixed in between 1.05 and 1.09 - including if I'm not mistaken a completely new torrent client, which appears to have been just one of the issues in that thread.
Just my opinion, but I think you'd be better served by providing the details of the problem you're having.

These cases seem so much like firewall and domain setup issues to me.

Thank you dosborne.
Although I still don't know why the web server on DNS 323 stopped working, a reboot really solved it.

It's not like a firewall issue cause I tried from my desktop machine, notebook and mini netbook, all experienced the same problem.

And for BITTorrent, I installed it as an add-on(ver dns323_BitTorrent_Package_v100), it works well now.
However, the BITTorrent setting seems too simple. I uploaded 20 torrent files and all was started downloading concurrently, I had to stopped several of them manually.
I suggest there is a configurable parameter which enables me to set how many torrent files being downloaded concurrently, if one torrent file finish downloading another one is started to download automatically.
Thanks everyone.
