Title: 2 computers extended to DSM 750
Post by: chwawa5 on July 19, 2010, 11:21:37 PM
Can two computers be linked into the same DSM 750?  I'm running Windows Vista on my laptop and Windows 7 on my desktop.  I have Windows Media Center on each computer.  I have added the extender on my PC with the on-screen access code from the DSM 750.  When I try to extend from my laptop, I receive an error that I need a new access code.  Will I disrupt the established connection with the PC if I link into the laptop?  Thanks for the help

I think you are receiving the same error I am about an invalid device certificate. It appears that D-Link has orphaned the DSM-750 and has not updated it to work with Windows 7 as an extender.

mikec5867 The DSM-750 works in Windows7 and Vista both.

chwawa5 The DSM-750 or any Extender device when configured can be setup with one MCE account only and saves the Profile. To connect to another PC running MCE you have to delete the profile and setup the device again.
