I'm concerned about all of the overheating discussions in these forums. I now have 4 x Seagate 1.5TB drives and don't want to risk the unit overheating to dangerous levels.
One area I've been investigating is some kind of small fan which can sit behind the box and (as quietly as possible) run 24x7. Does anyone out there use such a solution? If so, do you have a particularly well sized and quiet fan to recommend?

If your DNS-343 is sitting in a secure location (and without much dust), you can remove the front bezel to improve airflow.
