Title: DSL 2540B open a port

I am trying to configure my DSL 2540B router to allow a Remote Desktop connection, but can not seem to get the port opened.  I am setting up a Virtual Server for the 3389 port but does not seem to work.  Anyone have any idea if that is the right place to do such a thing or how to open the port to the WAN?  I am able to remote into my home computer, but not from home to work.  Thanks for any help!
