I have tried the drivers that came with the card and the latest atheros drivers
The card can only see the g SSID from my router, not the N SSID. I know the N network is broadcasting because my laptop sees it fine.
I've installed the drivers that came with the CD, and I've installed newer Atheos drivers version 7.7.0.446 and 7.7.0.553, and still can't see the N network. What am I missing? There are alot of settings for the WLAN card properties, but I have seen nothing documenting how these should be set to connect to a N network. Any suggestions?

Hi rjb1m,
Use Windows to connect, not D-Link Utility. Use the Drivers from the 160 package only.
What is the Brand of Router you are using, because the D-Link DIR-655 Router only has one SSID Signal Name and it is for G and N speeds at the same time.
Better explain how your Network is setup.

The router is the D-Link DIR-855.

Also, where do I the 160 driver package that you are referring to? Please send me an exact link.

Hi rjb1m,
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DWA-552&tab=3 (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=DWA-552&tab=3)
Click on Drivers.
Unpack the drivers once downloaded. Do not install using Setup. Use the Device Manager.

Hi rjb1m,
Neither. Just someone with experience and uses the DWA-552, myself.

So, here's the final answer.
The root cause had nothing to do with drivers. The issue is that the card only supports 2.4 GHz, not 5 GHz. That's why it couldn't see my 5G SSID.
