Title: Test VPN connection from inside network?
Post by: unnamedplayer on August 03, 2010, 04:06:17 AM
Hello,

I have followed the FAQs on how to setup a VPN server and configure a Windows client to connect. I have users who work on laptops that will be using this, but some are reporting problems connecting. I am wondering if there is a way I can test connection to the VPN inside my corporate network instead of having to take the laptop home.

Any input would be appreciated!

Not easily.  Most pros I know use cellular cards or tethered phones.

You could setup a separate (cheap) firewall and set the computers that you want to test to statically use that gateway. Works for me.
