Hi
I just want failover if one wan connection goes down.
I have two wan connections
Wan1 DHCP 100 mbit
Wan2 Static 2 mbit
One main route as follow
1 Route wan2 wan2net 95 No Access over backup ADSL
2 Route wan2 all-nets wan2_gw 95 No Access over backup ADSL
3 Route wan1 wan1net 90 Yes Primary access over fiber
4 Route wan1 all-nets wan1_gw 90 Yes Primary access over fiber
Interface group with wan1 and wan2
Failover is working if I remove the Wan1 cable then it switch to Wan2 but not if I leave it in.
Route monitoring with ping to some large websites in Sweden (Do I need a ICMP rule for this to work from the firewall?).
Firmware version 2.26.01
Best regards Johan

Disable monitoring for wan1net
-
I have disabled monitoring on wan1 and it still dosen't work.
Monitoring disabled
Remove cable from wan1 = no internet access
Remove DHCP option on wan1 (Gets no ip) = no internet access
Monitor enable
Remove cable from wan1 = internet access over wan2
Remove DHCP option on wan1 (Gets no ip) = no internet access

Hey Johan what did you do? I have the same problem in my dfl-800.
"Monitor for Route Failover
The health of a route may be monitored for route failover purposes.
Monitor"
Is this dan is talking about?

In softwares later than 2.25, better to use only ICMP monitoring for routes.
