Title: Opening a port on DIR-855
Post by: maryam on August 04, 2010, 05:21:56 AM
Hi,

I need to access a SQL application through DIR-855 using port 1433. But, I can't access the application because port 1433 is closed on DIR-855. I check with www.yougetsignal.com. How can I open the port on DIR-855? I have tried setting "Application Rules" on my DIR with following settings, but the port is still closed.

Port Trigger: 1433  Traffic: both
Port Firewall: 1433 Traffic:both
schedule: always

Thanks,
Maryam

Triggers are used when data is initiated outbound (i.e. triggered).

You want a port forward, where port 1433 is open for inbound traffic, directed to the SQL app's host IP.
