Title: Terrible Range with Toshiba Satellite
Post by: great_kgb on August 05, 2010, 12:50:33 PM
I'm having lots of problems using my DIR-655 I just bought with my Toshiba Satellite A500. I tried it with my girlfriends macbook and buddy's older Satellite and it works totally fine. From about 4 feet away I still have little points where it cuts out momentarily. If I make it about 10 feet its horrendous. Gigabit works totally fine though, plugged right into the ethernet it works great.

So close...try turning the 655 transmit power down to Low.  Also, change the tranmit channel just in case there is a neighbor conflict.
