Title: Why is Windows 7 Showing My Old SSID For WiFi And Not Gateway Name?
Post by: In0va3 on August 05, 2010, 03:48:55 PM
I recently updated to FW 1.34 and using Windows 7.

Since I'm connected through wired, shouldn't Windows 7 show my router's Gateway Name and not my old WiFi SSID?

Flush DNS on your PC.

1.On your local machine, open a command prompt.
2.Within the prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns.

Okay, I just did it, do I need to restart my router/computer?

No. Now just delete the old network connection and create a new one.

Just leave it like this. If you don't know what you're doing you might create more problems than this visual issue.
