Title: Fan came on during firmware upgrade

The fan came on while I was loading firmware. >:(

Now it cycles indefinitely through:

System is Booting............
System is Booting............
D-Link
System Restart!

Can I recover this, or do I have a new $600 brick?  ???

yup, it's bricked, if still under warranty, send in for exchange
if not you have a very expensive brick

it happened to me once, network was unstable and flashing prematurely terminated

lousy product design
