My Dir-655 has been working fine for a few years. When i recently moved to another city my router reboots every 1-60 minutes. It stays up during the AM hours but reboots every 1-60 minutes during the evening. I have tried emailing the Tech support. They told me to turn off UPnP but it didnt work. I also tried resetting the router but it still reboots.
Firmware:1.21 no securespot
Hardware version:A2

Elaborate some more, this is not enough info. (You're only explaning the pain...)
Since you moved, what changed in your network setup (please describe from modem/ISP to LAN)

Hi Aero,
Are you living in an Apartment Building; A rowhouse; A Single Family House?
Leave UPnP enabled. Unless you are not using any Instant Messenger programs that don't depend on UPnP protocol.
How is the House Wiring and the Outlet where the Router is plugged into? Any spikes?

I've been having the same issues ever since i've updated it to the newest firmware (1.34NA).
I started off with 1.11, which was working very well.
I saw that 1.21 had shareport so I updated to that last year. And it worked pretty well.
Later 1.31 was released, so I updated my firmware to that. That's when things started to go wrong. I started to get really slow speeds on my PC (Windows XP) which uses an DWA-655.
The instant I saw updates on the firmware I started to update it, so now I'm at 1.34NA. However not only am I getting slow speeds, I'm getting random reboots which is REALLY annoying when I'm downloading something or playing games.
I've read that other people have been getting the same issue since they have updated to 1.3X. Is there a solution to this or would it be possible to get an RMA?

Try reflashing again: reset to factory defaults and flash.

Currently i live in a single family home. My current ISP is Comcast. I also got a new modem(d-link dcm-202) since it was free after rebates. I have also tried resetting and re-flashing. It hasn't worked.

Hi Aero,
Do you have both the Modem and Router plugged into a Modern Surge Protector?
Have you tried a new SSID Signal Name and don't broadcast the Signal Name?
Have you tried setting up your Computers and other devices connected to the Router to Static IP Addresses? It won't effect the IP Address that is assigned by Comcast.
