My girlfriends computer looses connection to the wlan really often.
I tryed 3 diffrent firmware.. the one i use now is: 1.31EU..
Wish is off
SPI is off
Enable Traffic Shaping is off
I tryed to set the most of the stuff disabled so it wont disturb the wireless :))
But it does not help.
I tryed resetting the router several times.. And the router is only 8 meters from the computer ..
Is there a better firmware for europe users? Or do u have any other suggestions?

Latest wireless drivers on Vaio? Does the Vaio work OK with other wifi networks?
Reason for asking: no clue so far whether it is a router or a client issue...
-
Havent had any possibility to try other wireless networks :/...
It is the latest drivers on the network card and and so on
-
My Vaio works fine, just installed this 655.
BUT i can only get 130... i got 6200 AGN, anyway to fix this?

No.. havent tryed that yet. Is any special channel to prefer?
Should i lock it to just G? or maybe just N ?

You can use inSSIDer to see which channels are taken by other AP's. Find the channel with the least strong other signals.
If your router is setup for full N (2,4 Ghz that is, for full N you actually need a 5 Ghz router), is your Vaio setup OK? One req. is having set channel width to 20/40 Ghz
