Title: Is The QoS Engine Any Use for Downloaders?
Post by: In0va3 on August 10, 2010, 04:55:05 PM
I'm constantly downloading on my network and I've seen some sites say that it's no use for downloaders. If it isn't, how come?

Well, maybe not for me cause my IPTV wouldn't load cause of my downloading and once I turned QoS back on, it worked right away.

QOS isn't for downloaders per se, but it WILL help other connections when someone is downloading.  QOS will prioritize traffic like VOIP, web, etc higher up the chain when you start hitting the saturation point for your connection.  You won't get full speeds on those devices, but they will continue to work.
