show a "softAP" program. Using such a program you can add Access Point (AP) and Repeater modes to existing client cards (make your desktop adapter a router!).

Explained another way, you can hard wire your computer to the Internet (instead of connecting your cable modem to a DIR-655 and putting a DWA-552 in your desktop) and use your DWA-552 in your desktop as if it were a DIR-655 (Use your desktop's Wireless Adapter (and your desktop) as a Wireless Router (like a DIR-655)).

Does someone know of a link for a "softAP" program that works with the DWA-552 ?

 Thanks in advance,
 Rob
