Title: script to copy mounted usb disk file to nas
Post by: stanchiam on August 14, 2010, 04:36:27 AM
Hi,

Can someone help me?

I have successfully mounted it using mount -t ext3 /dev/$drive /mnt/HD_a2/dns323_1/USB/$drive
so now it appear in my dns323_1/USB/sdb1 folder
How can I transfer the entire content to my other folder in the nas hardisk?

I want to copy mounted usb external disk files to the nas folder without turning on my pc
maybe using a script or some job when i reboot the nas

You figured out how to mount the drive and the partition structure of the NAS but you couldn't use "cp"? :)

How did you mount the external HDD?

I could barely try something with my flash stick. People say around their whole external HDD have been compromised by trying that (with ntfs filesystem).
