I have a DGL-4500 and i have had it every since it came out...now i have had a problem with it rebooting...i had firmware 1.22NA on it when it started to happen...i updated to the newest firmware a few days ago and it still reboots...It only reboots when i am doing alot of internet traffic as in Hardcore gaming...Torrenting stuff like that??? What can i do to fix this?

We first must troubleshoot the router to find what is wrong with it. After you updated did you try to factory default all settings? If not I think that may be a good idea. If the troubles continue, We will continue from there.

What ISP service do you use? DSL or cable? Have you reviewed the Gaming and Gamefuel sticky? Let us know.

Cable. Yes i have looked up and down and a few people have had the same problem...

Ok, well cable you should be good then. DSL has internal routers that can cause issues. However I would run thru the Gamefuel settings and see if this might help some. What Hardware version is your 4500? Will be A1 or A2, A2 have seen people have issues with. Mines A1 and I'm on cable, aside for the past few days my ISP has been up and down here and there, I use the Gamefuel settings, Reserved IPs and enjoy XBL and Netflix. Let us know

What do the logs say? I mean given enough traffic any router will crash. Its a matter of how much.

What do you see on your logs around the time of the crash? Paste us a copy. Try to delete anything which may be personal, MAC addresses, etc. Also, how many active connections do you have open when it crashes. Don't need a exact count, but we talking 50 or a couple hundred?

I used to get this message to my PS3 unit, it was so annoying but I got it fixed by replacing the Ethernet cable. Good luck to you.
